Inter-schools Events
Since 2003 Stock Market Challenge has been run throughout the UK as an inter-schools competition. Each event brings together 20 to 30 local schools or colleges in each region and are sponsored and supported by a number of universities, EBPs and businesses. Since its inception over 5,000 Year 9 to Year 12 students from hundreds of UK schools and colleges have taken part.
Business partners
Stock Market Challenge offers companies the opportunity to contribute to the skills development agenda in a meaningful way through sponsorship of an inter-schools event. The opportunity is enhanced by the involvement of staff at the event, either as mentors for the students or by taking on the role of floor traders helping to process the transactions.
Since 2003 we have worked with many UK companies, including BNP Paribas, Standard Life, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, JP Morgan, Barclays and Aviva.
Educational partners
The success of these events has depended on our collaboration with educational organisations that make the links to schools and offer an educational or work-based context to the day’s activity.
Our partners throughout the UK include EBPs, Skills Development Scotland, Aim Higher, Financial Services Skills Council, Invest NI, Department of Education NI, First Campus and Titan Partnership.
